Arts Quarter Launches Philanthropy Action Plan Consultation

17th February - 18th March 2011

Since the announcement made in December 2010 by Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt of an Action Plan to boost philanthropy across the cultural sector, there has been much media coverage and debate on how best to deliver greater levels of support to the arts.  Over the course of the next few months further announcements will be made and consultation has been taking place through a variety of fora to gather views as to how best to implement the Action Plan.

To allow as many people within the arts sector to share their views on the development and implementation of the Action Plan, AQ has devised an online consultation based around the specific issues as detailed in the Plan as well the wider principles of what has been advocated.

The opinions shared by respondents will be fed directly to Arts Council England in mid March and will form part of their ongoing consultation process.  We are particularly grateful to Arts Council England in helping us to devise the questions in order to gather as many views on as much of Plan as possible.

All responses provided by those taking part in our research remain anonymous in all of our reporting.

As in all of our research activities, AQ will be publishing findings free-of-charge to the sector and our report on this consultation process will be made available in the latter part of March.
