AQ's Philanthropy in the Arts Survey 2013

8th April - 20th May 2013 - now closed - analysis underway

For the third time, Arts Quarter is undertaking a study into the evolution of philanthropic giving to the arts, following on from earlier studies conducted and published in 2011 and 2012.

We are fast approaching an important anniversary in the development of fundraising in the arts, as it is nearly a year since a community of organisations received grants under the ACE Catalyst Arts programme to develop their fundraising capacities. In addition, some in the sector have found other means to develop their fundraising activities during that time, while others are awaiting news on bids to ACE under the most recent Catalyst round.

This remains an important period in the development of philanthropy in the arts and we remain keen to plot this transformation and share our findings across the sector so that all are able to understand and respond to this significant process of change.

Irrespective of the status of your fundraising activities - we are inviting organisations from all regions, scales and art forms to take part.

This is an important data gathering exercise looking to plot the continuing evolution of private sector giving to the arts which aims to generate a significant benchmarking dataset which will enable organisations to compare their performance and aspirations with their peers.

Findings will be published in August.
