Arts Quarter Launches AQ Energy

14th September 2010

In the current economic climate and at a time when all cultural organizations and those within the wider not-for-profit community are seeking meaningful ways to reduce costs without cutting programming, AQ has now launched AQ Energy - a new venture to help organisations reduce their energy dependency and costs.

AQ Energy is a joint venture between Arts Quarter and Utility Aid, the leading energy solution provider with some eight years' experience of working with some of the UK's largest charities, and has helped them to save over £4million in energy costs.

Recognising the need for organizations to manage their energy usage sensitively yet effectively, this joint venture with AQ aims to bring the opportunity to make considerable savings to the arts and wider charitable community at a time when all organizations will be looking for ways to manage down overheads before contemplating the need to cut key programmes.

John Nicholls, managing partner of AQ commented, 'We are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to the arts and charity sectors at this time when all organisations will be seeking high impact ways of reducing costs creatively and without hindering programme delivery. We urge all organisations to talk with AQ Energy as soon as possible so that they can begin to reap potentially significant savings at this important time.'
